Tales from the Isle of Mist

"Skye" means "mist" in Gaelic and this misty little island off the Scottish coast lives up to its drizzly name with its dreamy landscapes of greens, browns and purples - fairy tale scenery shrouded by abundance of colours and passing clouds.

Ever changing weather, cloudy skies, sun, rain and snow - all in one day - give the place breathtaking beauty and a sense of poetry and magic.

Here is a handful of images from a few misty days on Skye.
